A tourgroup from Your Africa Travel (www.yourafrica.co.za) visited Rondomskrik on 10 February 2012. We had a wonderfull time showing 50 German tourists form Bavaria around our farm. With the help of their tourguide Pia Huppertz we gave them information about wheat farming and grape farming in the Swartland, as well as sheep and cattle farming. We showed them around our farm yard, saw lots of farm implements and tractors in the various sheds. We ended the visit with some refreshments in the garden. We even arranged for Willie van Schoor from Nulaid to give a very informative talk about the neighbouring chicken farm.
I would like the thank Swartland Municipality for sending Tyrone, our international exchange student, to help with some translation and welcoming our visitors. It is great to share our farm life with these visitors.
