German tourgroup visited Rondomskrik 22/02/2012
A tourgroup from Your Africa Travel (www.yourafrica.co.za) visited Rondomskrik on 10 February 2012. We had a wonderfull time showing 50 German tourists form Bavaria around our farm. With the help of their tourguide Pia Huppertz we gave them information about wheat farming and grape farming in the Swartland, as well as sheep and cattle farming. We showed them around our farm yard, saw lots of farm implements and tractors in the various sheds. We ended the visit with some refreshments in the garden. We even arranged for Willie van Schoor from Nulaid to give a very informative talk about the neighbouring chicken farm. I would like the thank Swartland Municipality for sending Tyrone, our international exchange student, to help with some translation and welcoming our visitors. It is great to share our farm life with these visitors. Add Comment Op julle merke, gereed, OES!! 02/11/2011
Koos, Kallie and Karel 26/09/2011
Welcome to Koos, Kallie and Karel! We recently aquired three jerseys calfs and they are eating their way through their first weeks on Rondomskrik. By the end of the year they will be joining the other cattle. Vintage tractors on the Agri-Route 12/09/2011
We had a great Agri-route day on Saturday. We decided to join our guests for lunch at Spekulasie and drove there with our two vintage tractors. Nelius and the kids on his new 1960 John Deere 730 and me on my Massey Ferguson 35. With hats and sunglasses we were armed against all types of flying insects that may (and did) cross our path! We had a great trip and will do the same next winter. Last Agri-Route day of 2011 09/09/2011
Our last Agri-route day of 2011 is on Saturday 10 Sept 2011. See Things To Do for all the details. We have had two very successfull Agri-route days this year. Everything is green around us, and the weather is perfect for a day on the farm. Welcome to the Rondomskrik Blog!! 08/08/2011
